Some methods for improving the skin’s texture and tone include body scrubs which are best carried out either before or during a shower or bath, as they tend to be quite a messy treatment.
These types of body scrubs involve massaging the skin with a gritty substance to shift dead skin cells and embedded grime, and improve the appearance of spots and pimples. They achieve cell renewal by causing a friction removal of dead cells.
Do not scrub areas of sensitivity, redness, inflammation, pustules or other open wounds.
Some of the gritty substances which can be used are:Â
Â
Sugars – white, caster or raw sugar (INCI – Sucrose)
