There seems to be many products on the market that claim to help your eyelashes grow. The problem is that most of them are very expensive and some contain ingredients that can have some bad side effects! Why not give this natural recipe a go and tell me if it helps. It’s easy to make and you may find you already have some of these ingredients at home.
You could store it in an empty mascara tube, or a small jar would be fine. You may want to store the jar in the fridge as this recipe contains no preservatives and it will help it to last longer.
Depending on the amount you want to create use approximately :
Mix well in the jar directly or use a glass bowl/beaker and transfer into a clean empty mascara tube using a pipette.
Castor oilis a fatty vegetable oil rich in Omega 6 fatty acids, vitamin E and proteins. Because of its smooth and mild texture, it’s easily absorbed into the hair shaft and locks in nutrients. Castor oil has been used for centuries for hair growth – in fact, ancient Egyptian men used to rub it into their scalps to prevent baldness!
Sweet Almond Oilis another natural oil that is a
fantastic source of monounsaturated fats, vitamin E, magnesium and
calcium. When applied to your eyelashes, it moisturises the hair
follicles and can prevent them from falling out.
Aloe Vera is also known for it’s hair growth properties. It is used in this serum to achieve thicker and longer eyelashes. Make sure that the aloe vera gel you are using is pure and doesn’t contain any ingredients like alcohol.
If you don’t have Vitamin E drops or liquid you can squeeze some vitamin E capsules into the mixture for an extra vitamin boost.NOTE: If you have a nut allergy you could take out the sweet almond oil and use equal parts of castor oil and aloe vera gel.
How to use:
Start with clean, dry lashes and apply the serum with a clean mascara wand at bedtime. Tips:
Brushing your lashes regularly also helps to stimulate growth.
This serum can also be used to help thicken eyebrows.
I would love to hear your comments after using this serum for a month!
